(e)Mazing Race 2022

Each year, we host this full-day team-building event for our corporate sponsors. Our goal for this event is not only to help their staff better understand the communities we serve but also to provide opportunities for them to give back to their neighbors. The impact it has had on our communities on both sides of the digital divide has been unmatched. We hope that race participants will gain a deeper understanding of what they can do as employees of these companies and individuals in their communities to support digital inclusion efforts.

​Changing Careers through Learning Spaces

Nafeesah currently works in security and plans to use the skills from learning spaces to change careers. Nafeesa wants to explore careers to combine her passion for healthcare and IT. She states “The new thing is to move into tech.” She is excited for the opportunity to work in technology as a peer to those who learned through a university system because of the learning spaces courses.

“You can’t get time back, and time is the most precious thing to give if you can’t donate. Not everyone can donate money so the next best thing is to give your time to an organization like Inspiredu. You may be able to network if you’re aspiring to get into the tech industry, it’s a great way for you to give back to the community but also get to know the community and the folks that may have a job for you down the line.”
