Our Townhall Series for Digital Equity in Georgia - Leveraging Networks to Close the Digital Divide sponsored by Comcast was held at Westside Works.

We held a lighting round of non-profit community-based organizations that shared their purpose and needs. those organizations included Techbridge, Urban League of Greater Atlanta, Advocates for Children, and Westside Works.

Exposing STEAM pathways

We also worked with Dubois Integrity Academy in Riverdale, Ga, late semester every Monday and Thursday.

The program was an hour-long held through the Meta “engineer of the week program.” The students had to think through prototypes and stats about various products. The products had to have a purpose and solve community issues like traffic, homelessness, hunger etc.

Refurbishing and webcams for success

At Inspiredu, the primary goal of the tech team focuses on repurposing and recycling devices with prior use – a process we like to regard as refurbishing previously enjoyed equipment. Those refurbished devices are thoroughly reviewed, and if they are salvageable, they enable our team to bridge the digital divide we readily see throughout our communities.
