Extending Our Support

We completed our last workshop of the year in Barrow County with Easter Seals and Comcast at the Wimberly Center for Community Development in Winder, Georgia. The services of Easter Seals North Georgia are designed to support the academic, mental, physical, and social-emotional growth of Georgia’s children, no matter their ability, income, background, or circumstance.

We had 47 families in attendance at the Adult Digital Literacy workshop. All of those received a laptop, and we distributed an additional 50 tablets. Our trainers conducted our usual 2-hour workshop that helps with Basic Digital Skills. The families were eager to learn and to receive their own devices to take home. There was one family in particular who was extremely excited about their device because it will allow them to connect with their family in Vietnam.

Thank you to Comcast for allowing us the opportunity to continue to do our work. Also, we'd like to extend a huge thank you to our Spanish translators who were able to translate our workshop for the families in attendance.

We are excited to return to Easter Seals North Georgia to serve their community again in 2024!
