Tech Team Gear up for Giving Tuesday Workshop

Our tech team concluded the year with a Family Learning Workshop at our Volunteer and Training Center in conjunction with our annual Giving Tuesday Phone-A-Thon. They prepared a total of 35 laptops to registered families and participants.

The laptops come with Microsoft Office suite, and learners are trained on a host of educational software. Inspiredu also provided information about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to participants in the Family Learning Workshop. The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare, and more.

The event was a resounding success, bringing together families from diverse cultural backgrounds, all eager to secure a “brighter future.” In the spirit of generosity and recognizing the interest in furthering education and career paths, our tech team was thrilled to distribute a device to each family that evening. In addition to the devices, families received school supplies and accessories, including water bottle swag bags, just in time for the holidays.
