Connect 404 Digital Navigators help us address digital equity

When it comes to reaching our goals – and consistently meeting the needs of those we serve – we wouldn’t go far without our 404 Digital Navigators. Provided through Comcast, these interns help connect the community to resources such our digital literacy workshops and Comcast Internet Essentials. They also serve as ambassadors for Inspiredu by providing research, outreach, planning, and implementation of special projects to promote digital equity.

Volunteer Highlight: Hayden Light

Hayden Light has been volunteering with Inspiredu for almost a full year now. He describes his time with Inspiredu in glowing words.

“I had originally heard of Inspiredu from a coworker of mine who told me about one of the upcoming technology drives. I decided to take some time to volunteer on a Friday after work, and instantly fell in love with the sense of community.

Meet one of our new volunteers, Kevin McBride, who has been consistently showing up to serve our families. He is an Account Executive at Optomi and has been a volunteer for about 8 months now. He began volunteering after meeting Carmen and Marcus at an event in the summer of last year and immediately wanted to get involved.

The Champions of Service

Have you heard? The Digital Champions Program has a whole new look. Inspiredu Digital Champions now capture all volunteer opportunities to bridge the digital divide. The expansion of the Digital Champions program has also shifted our Digital Literacy Workshop volunteers to Digital Navigators to align with the national initiative.
